Lectures

Lectures form a significant part of the learning experience in Counselling Study Resource (CSR) and Counsellor CPD. These lectures provide video presentations delivered by expert speakers, including our in-house lecturers and external specialists such as Mick Cooper and Windy Dryden. Unlike simple conversation or interview-style videos, these lectures are formal and structured, offering valuable insights and knowledge.

Each lecture comes with additional resources to enhance your learning. You can download the sound file associated with the lecture, allowing you to listen to the content while driving, running, walking, or engaging in other activities. The slide pack provides visual aids and key points from the lecture, while the transcript offers a written version of the lecture’s content.

The lectures are academically rigorous and aligned with the criteria set by UK awarding bodies. This means that the content of our lectures corresponds to what you would typically encounter in your formal counselling courses. You can confidently cite our lectures and utilize the accompanying resources in your assignments and studies.

Within your dashboard, you will find two types of lectures: Study lectures and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) lectures.

Study lectures are further categorized into Study Help Lectures, Theory Lectures, Skills Lectures, and Practice Lectures. These lectures are designed to support and deepen your core training, serving as a valuable resource for revision, skill development, and building confidence in working with peers and clients.

CPD lectures, on the other hand, cover topics beyond your formal study requirements. These lectures offer a diverse range of subjects, providing you with exposure to various areas of counselling practice. From Adverse Childhood Experiences to Working with Young People, CPD lectures broaden your knowledge and offer insights into different aspects of the counselling field.

By engaging with the lectures and resources available, you can reinforce your learning, prepare for assignments and exams, and expand your understanding of the counselling practice. Whether you’re a student, a practising counsellor, or an aspiring professional, these lectures are designed to support your growth and development in the field.
