Ken & Rory?

In Counselling Study Resource (CSR) and Counsellor CPD, you will frequently come across Ken Kelly and Rory Lees-Oakes, who are the in-house presenters at Counselling Tutor. They play an integral role in delivering valuable content and resources to support your learning journey.

Ken is a qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor. With a teaching qualification, he has lectured at the practice level and authored the book “Basic Counselling Skills: A Student Guide.” He has also co-authored the book “Online and Telephone Counselling: A Practitioner’s Guide” alongside Rory. As the Co-Director at Counselling Tutor, Ken focuses on online training provision and specializes in outcome-based online learning.

Rory, also a Co-Director at Counselling Tutor, is an experienced counsellor, clinical supervisor, and lecturer. He has more than a decade of experience in teaching counselling. Rory is the author of “Counselling Theory in Practice: A Student Guide” and co-author of “Online and Telephone Counselling: A Practitioner’s Guide.” In recognition of his outstanding use of technology in education, Rory was honoured with the prestigious Silver Plato Award in 2015. He is a Fellow of the Pearson Teaching Awards. Fun fact: Rory has a fondness for tea and can often be found in a tea room enjoying a cup.

Both Ken and Rory possess real-world experience and understand the challenges of balancing studies, work, and personal life. Their motivation goes beyond assisting counsellors; they are passionate about serving clients through the knowledge and skills imparted to counsellors like yourself.
